Choose from a variety of new frame styles in wood or aluminium, custom made to suit any decor. Do you have old frames that need a new life? Try our Frame Renewal Services (FRS) to significantly reduce waste and environmental impact. We love recycling and up-cycling existing frames.

Going Green with Sustainable Conservation and Archival Practices

By selecting the following sustainable methods for archiving and conserving your framed pieces, we ensure your artwork lasts for generations to come while making eco-friendly choices in the process:

  • Acid-Free and Recycled Materials including cotton based mat boards, mounting, and backing to minimise the environmental impact of your framing project.

  • Eco-Friendly Adhesives, Tapes and Glues which offer strong bonding qualities without the harmful chemicals found in traditional products.

  • Recycled Glass. We can clean and reuse old glass depending upon condition.

  • UV-Protective Glazing: We offer UV-protective and non-reflective glazing (Art-Glass), which not only shields your artwork from the sun’s harmful rays but is also typically made from recyclable materials, promoting sustainability.

  • For photography we offer specialized museum quality conservation services:

  • Neutral pH, Acid Free, Lignin Free, Chlorine Free Passepartout

  • 2, 4, 8-ply thickness

  • 100% Cotton Rag Board Non-Buffered or Buffered with calcium carbonate

  • For the preservation of historical photographs we highly recommend non-buffered rag board (available by special request).

    • Custom Pricing is calculated per m2 and includes backing and assembly materials

    • Window cut 45° bevel

    • 4-ply 100% Cotton Rag Board (other thickness available by special order)

    • Neutral pH, Acid Free

    • Lignin Free, Chlorine Free

    • Buffered with calcium carbonate

  • Please note this service is currently available in Denmark only.

    Existing frames of all types of materials can generally be renewed to add character and charm to a piece of artwork. If you have frames that you wish to re-use, we will be happy to work with you to create something new!

    Pricing varies depending upon the condition of the frame. We charge a Base Labor Fee on all FRS orders.

    In many cases, if the frame is in good condition (no re-sizing or dismantling of the frame corners), we charge an hourly fee for disassembly, cleaning and reassembly only.

    Base Labor Fee — DKK 750

    Additional work is charged at DKK 1,060 per hr. + Materials

  • We offer a broad range of Nielsen aluminium and wood frame profiles to suit any piece of artwork. All frames are custom made by hand in our workshop. Contact us for a quote.
